i've a 98 savage and the side cover i pulled my decal off of had no indendation (simple decal). mind you, it did leave a slight discoloration behind (slight fading of color where decal did not cover). i had to replace my left-side cover and it came with no decal (or indentation).
can't speak to jon's style of windshield (does look sharp) but the standard suzuki screen for the savage provides good wind redirection (cept for some head buffet). i miss riding 'naked' every now again (cept for the expressway commute back and forth to work). just my 2 cents worth.
hey jon - totally off-topic but what's the status of the muffler deal? last we heard you'd ended up with an open megaphone - are you going to rig something with that, stick with stock or buy something else?
